I'm curious if there is anyone here who handles medical malpractice suits against a doctor (based in PA) who preformed liposuction under false pretenses (not actually a plastic surgeon and as a result left extraneous scarring, tissue abnormalities, and irregularities on my body?

Medical malpractice is a complex area of the law, which varies from state to state. However, some basics remain the same.
The fact that the doctor is not a specialist in plastic surgery does not disqualify him from performing liposuction. The real question involved is whether the surgery,as performed by your doctor, was done in accordance with the standard of care in the medical profession.
While this firm does prosecute cases in Pennsylvania, we limit those cases to issues under Federal law. Your medical malpractice claim will certainly be controlled by Pennsylvania law. It is my recommendation that you contact an attorney there to evaluate your case. The Pennsylvania Bar Association will surely refer you to a qualified attorney there, (717) 238-6715. In New York State, you would have 2 1/2 years from your last treatment with this doctor to file suit. I suspect that the statute of limitations in Pennsylvania is much shorter, so do not delay in contacting an attorney.
